The MS Lies You Tell Yourself: Stop Excusing Your Way Out of Healing and Embrace Real Change

The Excuse Trap
The MS lies you tell yourself: "Your MS is mild, but I have the harsher MS diagnosis, and that's why your approach won't work."
Reversing or reducing MS symptoms isn't for the faint of heart. When you subtly or overtly suggest that someone who has reversed MS has the "milder" version, you're already giving yourself an excuse not to try. You're immediately limiting your potential.
What if the only thing standing between you and reduced symptoms is the story you're telling yourself?
Why Sharing Matters
To not share our experiences would be immoral—as everyone should know what we did to reverse MS. Then, you can decide if it resonates with you or complements what you're already doing based on your neurologist's suggestions.
It's not immoral, disrespectful, uncompassionate, or arrogant to share our truthful experiences. Eight years ago, I was in your shoes, convinced my MS was too severe for real change—until I shifted my mindset and discovered paths that worked for me.
Our path isn't for everyone, but withholding it feels greedy and uncompassionate. It's like having secret wisdom and refusing to help others who could benefit. I wish I'd known people back then who "preached" what they did to reduce MS symptoms. I could have learned from them, applied my knowledge to their wisdom, and seen if it fit.
Mindset Blocks
MS affects everyone differently, and what worked for me might need adaptation for you—especially if your case feels more severe. But maybe your arrogance is blocking you from keeping an open mind. That mindset—that you have the "stronger" version of MS—could be what's keeping you from making those deep changes and giving yourself a chance at reducing symptoms.
Research from sources like the National MS Society shows how mindset can influence health outcomes. Combine it with medical advice for the best results. Always do your own research on what may help, and consult your doctor. But don't let stubbornness or arrogance stand in the way of something that could help you or others suffering from MS symptoms.
